One shift behind
the counter funds a season.

Concessions is the single largest fundraising engine the Boosters run. It paid for a share of nearly every uniform, mat, and screen on this site. It only works when people sign up.

No experience needed. No kid in sports needed. District application takes about ten minutes, once, and covers you for the year.

How to start

Four steps,
ten minutes

Your first shift

  1. Complete the district volunteer application online.
  2. Pick a night that works for you.
  3. Show up fifteen minutes early. A lead walks you through it.
  4. That's it. Come back when you can.

Teams: claim your dates

Programs that staff concession shifts receive direct funding back to their team. It's the most reliable way for a program to fund its own needs without asking families for another check.

  1. Coach or team parent contacts the Concessions Manager.
  2. Your program claims dates for the season.
  3. Team supplies volunteers for those nights.
  4. Funding flows back to the program.

Concessions

The busiest room
on campus

Popcorn and hot dogs sound small. They are not. Concessions revenue is what let the Boosters put $79,809 into Hamilton programs this year alone — and the growth on this page happened because more people took shifts.

Two to three hours

That is the whole ask

Arrive fifteen minutes before the game and work it through. Once a season is a real contribution.

No experience

Someone shows you

Every shift has an experienced lead. Nobody gets handed a register and wished luck. If you can make change and be friendly, you can do this.

No athlete

You don't need a kid

Several of our most reliable volunteers have no student in the district. Grandparents, alumni, neighbours, retired staff — all welcome.

When we need people

Each season needs its own volunteers and its own lead time. Pick the ones that fit your fall, winter, or spring.

Football

Stadium stand, home Friday nights. Our highest-volume shifts of the year.

Fall
Basketball

Gym stand for boys’ and girls’ home games, all winter.

Winter
Wrestling

Home meets and tournaments. Tournament days are long but the room is electric.

Winter
Swimming

Home meets. Quieter shifts, good for a first time.

Winter
State Track Meet

Our largest single event of the year. All hands, and worth seeing.

Spring

Pick a night that works

Ten minutes to apply, once. Then choose the dates that fit your schedule — you are never locked into a season.

Seats are
open

The board raises and distributes funds for Hamilton recreation, middle school athletics, and high school athletics. Uniforms, equipment, facility improvements, film software, scholarships.

Twelve voting seats. Every funding decision is a board vote in a public meeting, on the record. If you want a direct hand in what Hamilton athletics looks like, this is the room.

You do not need an athlete in the district. Several board members don't have one.

Commitment

First Monday of every month except July at 7:00 p.m., plus whatever portfolio you take on.

Who fits

Parents, alumni, staff, local business owners, or anyone who wants Hamilton athletics to be better than it was.

Next step

Email us and come sit in on a meeting before you commit to anything.

Who makes
these nights happen

Take one shift.

A couple of hours, one night, once a season. That is genuinely the whole ask — and it is where the money on this site comes from.
